The installation of a private wireless network is generally not allowed within the IST because it can potentiate the appearance of interference, which impairs the normal operation of the eduroam network.
In specific cases, requests can be made to create some exceptions, which will have to be analyzed by the SI.
The request for the creation of a private wireless network must be made by sending an email to the SI, with information on:
- the department or research center where the private wireless network is to be installed
- and the justification for its creation.
