SI provides the Técnico’s community with a fixed telephone service, with access to the public telephone network, and provides the management of Técnico’s internal network voice lines.
This service is based on two types of telephone systems interconnected with each other and with the public network:
- A legacy system based on analog telephone lines
- A system based on VoIP technology that uses the network infrastructure used by computer equipment.
The configuration, installation and maintenance of the phones is the exclusive responsibility of SI.
In order to carry out an adequate and properly planned management of the traditional telephone network, services wishing to maintain their telephone terminals should contact SI.
