Thursday, July 31st, 2014Yesterday, 30th of July, due to a failure in a Network Attached Storage, several operating systems that depended on this where affected by this problem.
As we are in the holiday season, right now we have a reduced technical operations team which contributed to a larger recovery time.

MySQL service failure on server “db.tecnico.ulisboa.pt” / “db.ist.utl.pt”
Wednesday, May 28th, 2014Last Sunday, May 25th at 23h50 we had a major data corruption on our MySQL service hosted on server db.ist.utl.pt. It was necessary to do full recover from backups. The recover was only completed on May 28th at 18h. During the recovery process some databases were unfortunately online, receiving more data, but due to some inconsistencies we had rollback every database to state before the failure.
If your database was one of those that were online during Monday and Tuesday, probably you lost data so please contact us.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Fenix Downtime

Técnico e-mail addresses: new domain @tecnico.ulisboa.pt
Monday, November 4th, 2013Since the creation of the new domain @tecnico.ulisboa.pt the e-mail addresses of Técnico have been transferred to xxxxxxxxxx@tecnico.ulisboa.pt which means that the addresses remain basically the same, just the domain changes.
In order to use the new domain @tecnico.ulisboa.pt, you must reconfigure or update your account settings. Please follow the steps included at Computer and Network Services Support.
