Wednesday, May 28th, 2014Last Sunday, May 25th at 23h50 we had a major data corruption on our MySQL service hosted on server db.ist.utl.pt. It was necessary to do full recover from backups. The recover was only completed on May 28th at 18h. During the recovery process some databases were unfortunately online, receiving more data, but due to some inconsistencies we had rollback every database to state before the failure.
If your database was one of those that were online during Monday and Tuesday, probably you lost data so please contact us.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
Technical interruption at FenixEdu Web Service

High Definition Streaming Video Service
Monday, April 14th, 2014Besides borrowing audio-visual material for image recording (video camera, tripod and wireless microphone), a new service is currently available to the Técnico community. You can now use a new tool for recording and streaming video, the Matrox HD Monarch, which allows the streaming of live events as well as the simultaneous recording of a quality version for post-event editing.
The streaming is always done by accessing the webpage live.tecnico.ulisboa.pt that uses the streaming service of the Fundação para a Computação Científica Nacional (FCCN) of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).
It is a plug and play service: simply connect the camera to the streaming device which is already set up and connect it to a network port to have a functional service.
