SI maintains servers, provides data services and management for the whole Tecnico community.
As a rule user of most services requires authentication with Tecnico ID.
Among these services, we provide for the community:
- Database engines, with MySQL and PostgreSQL;
- Physical collocation of servers belonging to entities that are part of Tecnico;
- Virtual Hosting of Computing Infrastructure (IaaS);
- Time service, with NTP;
- Web hosting services;
- Unix shell, available in the cluster “Sigma”, where typical linux applications are available and users can locally run their own (non root) applications.
For sharing of large files with other users within the academic community we recommend the “FileSender”service available from FCCN.
